From GlobalCasinoBoom.com: For years Diamondhead Casino Corp has been trying to find a joint venture partner to help them build a resort complex on a great piece of land they own not too far from Biloxi, MS.  So congratulations to the company on their recent announcement that I pasted below.  I should remind erveryone however that the company has been down a similar path before, as I point out with a press release the company put out about two years ago that announced a joint venture with Trump.

Biloxi’s South Beach Resort and Casino zoned

RW Development is on its way to the Mississippi Gaming Commission with waterfront zoning for its property north of U.S. 90 at Veterans Avenue in Biloxi.

The $800 million South Beach Resort & Casino proposal won by a 5-2 vote Tuesday, with Councilmen David Fayard and George Lawrence against changing the zoning from B-3 to waterfront

Mayor A.J. Holloway could still veto it, but said at Tuesday’s Chamber of Commerce breakfast this project is different from the Tivoli Casino he vetoed last year because it has land south of 90 and was previously zoned waterfront.  (more…)
