Galaxy World Mega Resort
Phase 1 construction of the Galaxy Mega Resort near Las Vegas Sands’ Cotai Strip® complex, including the first hotel tower of 1,500 rooms (Tower A), is on track for completion by the end of 2008. Galaxy’s second tower (Tower B) with 1,000 rooms, suites and villas, will includetwo separate hotel brands, one of which will be the Hotel Okura, and should be completed during 2009.
As one of the largest in the world, the casino will have a capacity to accommodate up to 700 gaming tables and 4,000 slot machines in a breathtaking and expansive setting. The mass gaming hall stretches the entire length of the casino at almost 300 metres (1,000 feet) long with 15 metre (50 feet) high ceilings and is lined with boundless retail delights, and restaurants.
Galaxy’s overall design theme for this first phase of its GalaxyWorld Resort is a “Mystical Oasis” has been further developed, enhanced and reinforced in the interior and exterior design of the Resort. Galaxy’s Cotai site offers an additional 10.4 million sq ft GFA for the further development of phases 2, 3 and 4 of its Galaxy Mega Resort. The gold and white exterior of the property will be a tribute to South East Asia, palatial in appearance with a fresh, tropical undertone.
Galaxy Mega Resort is in perfect proximity to all visitors to Macao, by air, land or sea. Situated adjacent to the Lotus Bridge border crossing, that feeds directly to the Chinese mainland and linked to the Macau/Taipa Light Rail Transit system with two separate terminals located on either side of the resort, to be completed by 2011. The property is also five minutes from the Macau International Airport and the new Pac On Ferry Terminal (2008) which makes travel to the resort simple and convenient.
